DepEd Gmail Slow Loading or Not Syncing on Mobile/App

Prevalent in schools with weak Wi-Fi or shared devices.

Causes:
- Poor connection (DepEd schools often <5 Mbps during peak)
- App cache/corruption
- Multiple accounts conflict
- Storage quota pressure (slows sync)

Fixes:

1. Basic checks
- Test speed: speedtest.net (need ≥5 Mbps)
- Switch Wi-Fi ↔ mobile data
- Restart phone/router

2. Gmail app (recommended)
- Android: Settings → Apps → Gmail → Storage → Clear cache (then force stop/reopen)
- iOS: Offload app or reinstall from App Store
- Remove & re-add account: Gmail menu → Settings → your DepEd account → Remove → Add again

3. Browser fallback
- Use mail.google.com in Chrome (mobile view)
- Hard refresh: Ctrl+F5 (or pull-to-refresh)

4. DepEd notes
- Avoid mixing personal Gmail on same device (causes sync conflicts)
- If using school tablet/Chromebook: Ensure managed by DepEd OU
- Large inboxes (>50k emails): Archive old messages

If persists >1 day: Ticket with device type, app version, error screenshot.
