DepEd Gmail Login Issues – "Account Not Found" or Locked

Common for new hires (activation delay), transferred staff, or after failed logins.

Causes & fixes:

1. "Account not found / doesn't exist"
- Typing error: Must be firstname.lastname@deped.gov.ph (exact spelling/case)
- New account: Wait 2–5 working days post-HR submission; check with school/division ITO
- Deactivated (retired/transferred): Submit reactivation request via division

2. Locked after too many failed attempts
- Wait 30 min–24 hrs (auto-unlock)
- Use recovery: accounts.google.com/signin/recovery → enter DepEd email
- If no recovery phone/email set: ITO requests unlock (provide ID, school, DOB)

3. Other login blocks
- Browser cache: Try incognito or different browser/device
- VPN/proxy: Disable (school networks sometimes interfere)
- 2SV/MFA issues: Use backup codes or recovery phone

DepEd tips:
- Always use official URL: mail.google.com
- Set recovery options early: myaccount.google.com → Security → Recovery phone/email
- If MFA lost: ITO can help reset via admin console
